Please remain vigilant regarding unexpected or suspicious messages received via Microsoft Teams.
If you receive a Teams message from a member of staff that you were not expecting, do not respond or carry out the request. Immediately report the incident to the Service desk so it can be investigated, and appropriate safeguards can be applied if needed.
Unsolicited requests - especially those asking you to share information, click links, or take urgent action—may indicate an information governance risk or an attempt to gain unauthorised access to organisational data.
